Officer Tupola

So on January 15 Tavo graduated from the Police Academy and is now he's officially "Officer Tupola". Even though it was really hard at times and I actually gave birth while he was in the academy everything really worked out pretty sweet. The best part about it all is that he loves his job. I really think it fits his personality and gives him fulfillment to help other people. Tonight he was working in the Hawaii Kai district where my parents live. So all his fellow officers were telling him that the work is really slow in that area so get ready to be bored....but randomly enough there was a huge stabbing incident on one of the hiking trails and he arrested the "stabber." Oddly enough we were watching the news highlights when Tavo walked across the scene and the next news story was the super bowl. I often think of how it was a goal of Tavo's to play in the NFL and how different our lives would have been if things went that way. And overall I'm happy with everything just the way it is. I feel like we were meant to move home because so much good has happened since we've been here. I feel like Tavo is making a huge difference with his job, the young men he works with in our ward, and so many other things. It reaffirms in my mind that God's plan was way better than our plan.

Our happy family...well most of us look happy...

Let's be honest who doesn't like a man in a uniform...

that's me putting on his badge....it's official!
